Heading into cold & flu season

As we head into the cold and flu season it's always good to start increasing vitamins that support and boost the immune system. Vitamin C has been recognised for many years as a vitamin that may help to protect us and shorten the duration of the cold and flu viruses and has many other health benefits.  Good sources include Aloe vera juice, blackcurrent, broccoli, brussel sprouts, citrus fruits, guava, parsley, pawpaw, peppers, pineapple, potatoes, raw cabbage, rosehips, strawberries, sweet potatoes and tomatoes.

Look at seeing a naturopath to increase your vitamin C intake as all Vitamin C supplements are not created the same. It’s important to take the right one to avoid stomach irritations and increase absorption to see the full benefits of this necessary vitamin.
